Why are we here?
Everyone is born into this life weak and fully dependent on their parents or care takers. Suddenly we find ourselves in a competition with the rest of us on who will make more money and survive. Is this the purpose behind our existence? To make money and gather wealth until we die. Or is there something else?
What happens when we don’t succeed and we end up struggling through life? When we are barley able to afford to eat and drink. Should there be a game over if one can’t succeed? Or is there another reason to life?
Where does motivation come from? most people keep on going despite not making much progress. What initiates the urge to quit?
Some of us are satisfied while the rest of us don’t get satisfied no matter how much we have. Some of us work hard and earn big. The rest also work hard, but don’t earn big. Are we in a fair competition?
Well some say life is not fair…
A gentleman was walking down the road one night when he saw someone circling a street lamp as if he was searching for something. He approached him and asked what he was missing. the guy seemed crazy or drunk, but he replied that he had lost his wallet. The gentleman decided to help, but after looking around the street lamp he asked the guy if he was sure he lost it here. The guy said no, I lost it in the park. The gentleman was confused, why are you searching here? The guy said this is where the light is.
Moral of the story: The truth might be where you least want to search.
So, let’s check where our search is for the meaning of our existence.
So long…
